Team Building and Raising the Game

A senior partner in a significant International law firm called in one of our leadership coaches to work alongside him through a period of change for the practice. Two objectives were set to support the overall aim of deal winning. Firstly, to support and accelerate his progression into a new role and secondly, to speed the performance of a newly assembled team. Already a skilful and accomplished professional, he was looking to accelerate the formation and performance of a new team, alongside work on enhancing his own leadership development. Using regular thinking time with his coach, he developed approaches to setting up, gaining buy-in and mobilizing a new and talented team. In a relatively short time, his team have come together and produced what has been rated as the best bid-related work the firm has seen.

Reducing Risk and Accelerating Performance During Major Change

A multinational scientific company engaged coaches to work with their key staff, to enable them to accelerate integration and maintain performance pre and post merger. The firm wanted to retain ‘key to keeps’ and maintain motivation and performance during an extended period of organisational change and uncertainty.
Senior executives, opinion leaders and key change agents drew on intensive individual coaching during this time. The integration has completed with little deficit in productivity. It received a positive reception from the financial markets and key executives remain firmly in role. Those executives who did move went on to take up senior posts elsewhere with immediate effect.

Senior Executive Transition

A senior HR business partner used coaching as she took her firm through mergers and partner acquisitions, alternating intensive development sessions with telephone support and live coaching. The coaching programme included effective communications; interpersonal skills; conflict management; honing leadership presence and impact; personal support and upward influencing and negotiation. During this period her organisation was acclaimed for its strong focus on performance management and the counter cyclical results achieved.
